Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is an American animal rights advocate, writer, model and actor. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway '72 are some of her most well-known films. Growing up in an artistic family located in New York she wished to be a part of the art. She began as a photo assistant, before progressing to modeling and acting. She was noticed in two of her films and was awarded the Golden Globe Award for Most promising Newcomer. MacGraw was a worldwide star after her 1970 movie Love Story, which earned an Academy Award nomination as well as a Golden Globe. After only three movies, MacGraw was named the top female box-office start worldwide. At Grauman's Chinese Theater in the year 1972, she got her signature and hand-footprints engraved. Her other credits include The Getaway Convoy Players, the miniseries on TV The Winds of War and many more. Moving Pictures, her 1991 autobiography, came out. MacGraw was married to three individuals.
